Geological Survey of India has been providing authentic, precise and detailed geoscientific information for more than 157 years to the government, industry and public. GSI’s name is synonymous with high quality geological mapping and mineral exploration expertise. GSI offers a wide range of products for all categories of users - from multi-thematic maps, atlases, unpublished project reports to various publications highlighting major geological research and finds.
GSI also has a dedicated Curatorial Division which functions as a support facility to preserve the rock, mineral, fossil and meteorite specimens collected during field surveys, through exchange and as gift. The division maintains these important repositories.
